An early Tuesday morning traffic stop of a white GMC Yukon at Fifth at Magnolia streets led to the arrest of a Turlock man who had an ample supply of marijuana which Ceres Police was for illegal sales.

At 1:41 a.m., Officer Eric Gallegos made a stop on the vehicle. When driver Aaron Moody, 32, of Turlock rolled down the window the officer smelled the strong odor of marijuana. Moody also had an outstanding warrant. A search of the vehicle yielded a digital scale and 13 separate bags of marijuana weighing a total of 7.7 pounds. Moody admitted the marijuana was his and denied selling it, saying it was all for personal use. He was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana for sales, transportation of marijuana and the outstanding felony warrant.

Passenger Evan Ingles, 33, also of Turlock, was arrested for two felony arrest warrants relating to theft charges.
