Randol McCartney, 28, of Turlock, was cited and released for allegedly attempting to shoplift $20 worth of goods from the Ceres Walmart store on Monday evening, Jan. 4.

The store's loss prevention officer calls police at 4:37 p.m. to report they had a shoplifter in custody. McCartney was cited.
