Warrant arrest made on passenger

An officer stopped the driver of a 2013 Camaro for having expired registration Aug. 15 and ended up arresting a rear passenger on a warrant for a failure to appear in court.

Jael Luvy Serrano, 35, of Modesto, had an outstanding felony arrest warrant issued by the Stanislaus County Superior Court for failure to appear. She was arrested and booked for the warrant.

The arrest was made at 11:05 a.m. at Hatch and Richland Avenue by Ceres Police Officer Billy Carter.
