A felony arrest warrant and bullets in his pocket sent a 33-year-old Modesto driver to jail during an early Tuesday, Feb. 28 traffic stop in Ceres.

At 2:19 a.m. Officer Juan Ramos was on patrol in the area Bystrum Road and Joyce Avenue when he stopped a black Chevrolet Avalanche for vehicle code violations. A records check on driver Jared Medeiros, 33, of Modesto revealed he had a felony warrant for his arrest. Medeiros was arrested for the warrant and during a search of his pockets Medeiros was found with several live rounds of ammunition which he was prohibited from possessing due to his felony convictions.

Medeiros was booked for the warrant and possession of ammunition.
