A defective rear license plate light prompted a Ceres Police officer to pull over a black Dodge which netted a suspect with an outstanding warrant and drugs.

The stop was made at Ninth Street and Whitmore Avenue at 8:38 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Sept. 14.

The driver, Kevin Horner Jr., 42, of Ceres, had an outstanding warrant and was taken into custody. He was searched and found with a small amount of methamphetamine.
