Woman arrested for DUI
Ceres Cop Car

After being stopped early Thursday for speeding, Karina Felix, 28, of Ceres, was arrested and booked for driving under the influence, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level above .08 percent and driving without a license.

Ceres Police Officer Ross Bays saw an SUV speeding eastbound on Hatch Road at Richland Avenue at approximately 2:02 a.m. Bays finally caught up with Felix after she ran through red lights and three other intersections before stopping in a residential neighborhood east of Walmart. Bays detected the strong odor of alcohol on her breath and gave her several field sobriety tests. Officer Bays determined she was intoxicated and arrested her.

Felix's blood alcohol level was .11 percent at the time of her arrest.
