Ceres Cop Car

A 23-year-old Ceres woman was cited for making an unsafe turning maneuver and crossing over a double-solid line when she struck an oncoming patrol vehicle on Monday evening, May 9.

At 9:58 p.m. Ceres officer Jon Vera was northbound on Central Avenue from Whitmore Avenue when Bianca Flores swerved out and hit the car's left front fender. Flores was following a car on southbound Central Avenue when it has slowed to make a right turn onto a side street and she passed her 2002 VW Jetta to the left and hit the patrol car.

Neither the officer nor Flores was injured.
