Woman on drugs arrested for breaking into home

Monica Sapien, 48, of Ceres, was arrested Tuesday morning, Sept. 26, after she entered a mobile home - where she is no longer allowed - and showed signs of being on drugs.

Police were called to 2841 Fowler Road, space 63 at 11:03 a.m. for reports of a woman causing problems. Officer Jessica Graham spoke with occupants of the home who reported ongoing problems with Sapien, a drug user. They said she entered the residence without permission and took a shower while appearing to be under the influence.

Graham suspected Sapien of displaying signs of being under the influence of a stimulant and had her perform a series of field sobriety tests. Sapien was deemed under the influence and was arrested and booked for misdemeanor being under the influence of a controlled substance.
