Three Ceres schools and one from Keyes will be among the 24 students who will be honored at the March 7 "Every Student Succeeding" breakfast program for having succeeded against challenges, gone beyond expectations, or simply won the hearts of staff.

Honorees will include Cherith Franklin of Central Valley High School, Antonio Palacio of La Rosa Elementary School, Jesse Vazquez of Blaker-Kinser Junior High School and Shelby Christopher of Keyes Elementary School.

The event will take place at 7 a.m. at the Petersen Event Center, 720 12th Street, Modesto. Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased in advance.

At the end of the program one student will be selected as the region nominee and receive a $500 scholarship. They will then participate in the state selection process.

The 12th annual event is sponsored Stanislaus Association of School Administrators (ACSA) Charter, the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE), Mocse Credit Union and E.&J. Gallo Winery.

The event is separate from the "Every Student Succeeding" breakfast sponsored by the Ceres Unified School District in March.
