Members of the City Council approved a lot line adjustment last week so that a business may expand operations in southwest Ceres.

Snelson Companies, Inc. has been operating at 1208 Marchy Lane west of Morgan Road since 2011. The highway and street construction company operates a warehouse and contractor's storage yard at the location. The company approached the city in 2012 about expanding its Ceres operation into an adjoining undeveloped parcel. The city told Snelson of the improvements that would need to occur as well as combine the two lots into one. In June the company bought both parcels and in September filed for a lot line adjustment.

The two parcels, which are located west of the Ceres Wastewater Treatment Plant, together total up to 2.32 acres.
