Rural Keyes home sprayed with bullets

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is investigating multiple shots fired into an occupied home in rural Keyes Wednesday evening, Sept. 24.

Nobody was injured in the shooting which was reported at approximately 10:19 p.m. in the 5900 block of Pioneer Road east of Keyes. Detectives believe the shooter was firing a weapon from a vehicle but several spent casings were recovered near an orchard.

No suspects have been identified or arrested, said Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Michael Carranza. No other information was available.
