Two bikes awarded in Summer Reading Challenge

Two Ceres youngsters are very happy they decided to participate in the Stanislaus County Library’s Summer Reading Challenge hosted by the Ceres Library.

Sofia Grijalva and Lucas Sanchez won bicycles in the contest in which Ceres participants under the age of 18 who completed the reading challenge were entered to win one of two bicycles provided by the Friends of the Ceres Library.

From June 1 to July 31, readers of all ages were encouraged to log their reading on Beanstack and complete activities to earn virtual tickets for free prize drawings, made possible thanks to the Stanislaus Library Foundation. Prizes selected by Ceres Library participants included an early learning math bundle, a blind box bundle, LEGO® Botanicals kit, iPad, Cricut Joy 2 and AirPods. Additionally, readers who completed the reading portions of the challenge were invited to pick up a free tote bag from the library.
