A funeral was held Friday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Abraham Serrano, 55, of South Modesto. He died of natural causes on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial was at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born Nov. 28, 1948, Mr. Serrano was a native of Michoacan, Mexico, and lived in the Ceres-Modesto area for 28 years. He was a hard working man who enjoyed watching rodeos and boxing. Mr. Serrano was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Ceres.
He leaves behind his wife, Elia Serrano of Modesto; four children, Elizabeth Serrano, Hugo Serrano, Noemi Serrano, and Jael Luby Serrano, all of Modesto; three brothers, four sisters and 10 grandchildren.
