A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date for Alice Frances (McVeigh) Beamish, 89, of Hughson. She died peacefully at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson on August 4, 2011.
Arrangements were handled by Eaton Family Funeral Service.
Born Feb 9, 1922, Mrs. Beamish was a past president of the Central California Art League, and an award winning artist, poet and writer. She was a member of the National League of American Pen Women and The California Federation of Chapparal Poets.
She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Jerome Beamish, PhD., of Hughson; her children, Maureen Beamish of Modesto, Kevin Beamish of Nashville, Tenn., and Christopher Beamish of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren.
Remembrances may be sent to the Alzheimer's Assocation or Community Hospice.
