A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Potter Valley Cemetery for Bessie Ruth Jameson Burger, 78, of Ceres. She died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon today at Eversole Mortuary in Ukiah.

Born March 25, 1927, Mrs. Burger was a native of Dumas, Texas, and had lived in Ceres since 2004. She previously lived in Ukiah, Nice and San Francisco. Mrs. Burger was a homemaker who enjoyed collecting angels and cookbooks and watching the cooking channels on television.

She leaves behind her brother, Charles Jameson of Checotah, Okla.; two sisters, Betty McMillion of Stratford, Texas, and Wanda Loveland of Modesto; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Burger; and daughter Jo Ann Welch.
