A funeral was held Saturday at Bethel Church in Modesto, for Betty Sue Jones Taylor, 61, of Ceres. She died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004 at Doctors Medical Center inModesto.

Burial was at Lakewood Memorial Park under the direction of Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.

Born Oct. 28, 1942, Mrs. Taylor was a native of Spiro, Okla., and lived in Ceres since 1973. She previously lived in Riverbank for 22 years. Mrs. Taylor was known in Ceres and Modesto for her pumpkin and Christmas tree lots for two decades. She was a member of Bethel Church in Modesto, and enjoyed genealogy.

She leaves behind her husband, Johnny C. Taylor of Ceres; three children, Nikki Jean Taylor of Carlisle, Ohio, Susan Courtial of Boise, Idaho, and Jodie Kenee Taylor of Ceres; her brother, Calvin Amos of Oakdale; three half-brothers, Max Jones and Scott Jones, both of Arizona, and Dennis Jones of San Bernardino; her sister, Jackie Goforth of Ceres; her half-sister, Leslie Jones of Arizona; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
