A graveside service was held Monday at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella for Bill Patterson, 61, of Modesto. He died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center.
The Colonial Chapel of Franklin and Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born Nov. 20, 1943, Mr. Patterson was a native of Vanport, Ore., and lived in Modesto for 49 years. He was a welder for 20 years, and owned and operated Wolf Creek Video. Mr. Patterson was also employed as a substitute teacher in junior high and high school. He enjoyed swimming, horseback riding, wood crafts, technology, fishing and camping.
Mr. Patterson leaves behind his wife, Wanda Patterson of Modesto; his son, William S. Patterson of Ceres; his mother, Mavis Patterson of Ceres; four brothers, Hank Patterson of Valley Springs, Joe Patterson of San Antonio, Dana Patterson of Las Vegas and Ben Patterson of Delaware; and four sisters, Charlotte Holley and Kathy Garcia, both of Ceres, and Linda Hodges and Nina Patterson, both of Modesto.
