Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday at St Anthony's Catholic Church in Hughson for Ciara Eleanor Chiesa, 14, of Hughson. She died Dec. 7, 2010 following a galliant battle against brain cancer. The holy Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m.
A funeral service and Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Afterwards will be a celebration of Ciara's life in the St Anthony's Family Center.
Born April 12, 1996 to Kevin and Melanie Chiesa of Hughson, Ciara attended school at Hughson and Gratton Elementary schools. She enjoyed playing games, planning for every holiday, going to the movies, traveling to Hawaii, Spain, France, Italy, and her favorite place Disneyland. Through her illness Ciara taught many about patience, strength, perserverence, acceptance, faith and love. Through all she had to suffer and endure, she always had a smile on her face and never complained about her circumstances.
Besides her parents Ciara leaves behind her sister, Sydney; her grandparents, Ron and Jane Martella and Aroldo and Mart Chiesa; and her great-grandmother, Bruna Martella.
Remembrances may be sent to Stanislaus Community Foundation, 1226 11th St., Modesto, CA, 95354 Memo: Ciara Chisea's Circle. Ciara Circle of Hope will be a fund to support children's causes.
