A graveside service was held Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Clarence Edward Elmore, 64, of Ceres. He died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005 at his home.

Eaton Family Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born March 31, 1941, Mr. Elmore was a native of Dallas and lived in Ceres for 55 years. He was a laborer for Shirley & Early Ellard Farms for 15 years. Mr. Elmore enjoyed fishing, playing cards and working on cars.

He leaves behind his wife, Margaret Elmore Turner of Modesto; four children, Jerry Elmore and Eddy Elmore, both of Modesto, Jackie Buchanan of Salida, and Charles Castleman of Sacramento; his brother, Leon Elmore of Modesto; two sisters, Neoma Snow of Modesto and Mary Frances Popejoy of Arkansas; and 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Elmore.
