Lakewood Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Darlene Benton Hook, 69, of Turlock. She died Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Born Dec. 14, 1935, Mrs. Hook lived in the Turlock and Hughson area for 47 years and previously lived in Mendocino County for 21 years. She was a supervisor at Del Monte Foods and a member of the Teamsters union. Mrs. Hook was a fan of Elvis Presley, the San Francisco 49ers and the Giants, and enjoyed bowling and gambling.
She leaves behind her daughter, Lorrie Hook of Mountain View; two sisters, Norma Petty of Fortuna and Lois Steele of Ceres; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children Benton Hook and Naomi Hook; and one sister.
