A memorial service was held Saturday at Hughson United Methodist Church for Esther F. Doberenz Brown, 90, of Hughson. She died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005 at Brandel Manor Convalescent Hospital in Turlock.
Eaton Family Funeral & Cremation Service was in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 9, 1914, Mr. Brown was a native of Stockdale, Texas, and lived in Hughson for 35 years. She was a school cafeteria manager for 13 years. Mrs. Brown was a member of Hughson United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed knitting, quilting and crafts.
Mrs. Brown leaves behind her son, Doug Brown of Modesto; her sister, Elsie Charles of Turlock; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Truman B. Brown; and son Jerry L. Brown.
