Isidra Duran

A Mass was held Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Isidra "Virgie" Duran, 81, of Patterson. She died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2004 at Garden City Health Care Center in Modesto.

Burial was at Patterson District Cemetery under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Chapel of Turlock.

Born May 15, 1923, Mrs. Duran was a native of Mount Pleasant, Texas, and lived in Stanislaus County for 60 years, in the Patterson, Grayson and Westley area 60 years. Mrs. Duran was a cannery worker and worked at Patterson Frozen Foods for many years. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and volunteered at St. Vincent dePaul Society Thrift Store, and the food bank in Modesto. Mrs. Duren enjoyed gardening.

Local survivors include brothers, Louis Duran and Emillo Duran, both of Ceres; sister Tonce Gavino of Keyes.
