A funeral service was held Tuesday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Ivan L. Cooley, 84, of Hughson. He died Nov. 19, 2010 of natural causes.
Born May 24, 1926 in Illinois, Ivan lived in Hughson for 30 years. He was a World War II and Korean Army veteran. Mr. Cooley was a foster parent for over 20 years, taking in children and giving them a loving home.
He leaves behind nine children, Pat Marovic, Charlene Williams, Jason Jaques, Christina Supnet, Rebecca Jaques, Tommy Cooley, Denille Cooley, Justin Indiveri and Kevin Cooley; his sister, Helen Senna; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
