The Neptune Society was in charge of cremation services for Laverne Lillie Atkins, 74, of Ceres. She died April 4, 2011.

The family is planning a memorial.

Born March 10, 1937, Laverne actively served Jesus Christ in her church.

She is survived by four sons and two daughters.
