Memorial service plans are pending at Allen Mortuary for Linda Lee Beckhart, 59, of Ceres. She died April 28, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, after a long battle with cancer.
Born Jan 5, 1952 in Sebring, Ohio to William and Doris Mason, Linda began her schooling there. When she was 11 years old the family moved to Compton. She met and married Robert Beckhart in December of 1970. Mrs. Beckhart worked as a bookkeeper for 25 years, including for Kraft Foods and Central Valley Auto Body Shop. Linda enjoyed crocheting and camping and actively served the Boy Scouts for 30 years, which continued long after her own boys had completed scouting. She worked with leadership training with the Boy Scouts and earned the coveted Silver Beaver Award.
She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Robert Beckhart of Ceres; three children, Robert Byrl Beckhart Jr., Christina Piersall, and Charles Brian Beckhart, all of Ceres; her mother, Doris M. Mason of La Mirada; 10 grandchildren, William Beckhart, Kathleen Beckhart, Joshua Beckhart, Jason Beckhart, Tyler Beckhart, and Caleb Beckhart, David Price, Jenna Price, Kaylee Piersall and Lilliana Cruz. She was preceded in death by father William E. Mason and children William and Kathleen.
