L.V. Hoskins

A graveside service was held Friday at Stockton Rural Cemetery for L.V. "Bud" Hoskins, 71, of Ceres. He died of natural causes on Sunday, April 17, 2005 at his home.

The McHenry Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 24, 1933, Mr. Hoskins was a native of Westmoreland, Tenn., and lived in Ceres for six years. He previously lived in Stockton. Mr. Hoskins was a retired machinist who enjoyed camping and fishing.

He leaves behind his wife, Patricia Hoskins of Ceres; three children, Cheryl Hoskins of Ceres, Richard Stepp of Stockton and Timothy Hoskins of Sacramento; two brothers, Danny Hoskins and Wayne Hoskins, both of Indiana; six sisters, Evelyn Hoskins, Mary Adams, Linda Hoskins, Freida Richardson, Helen Hoskins and Jenny Hoskins, all of Indiana; and 27 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons, Joe David Owens, James Curtis Hoskins and Bruce Wayne Hoskins; and his parents, Carney and Nell Hoskins.
