A memorial service was held Saturday at Calvary Temple Church in Modesto for Michelle Rita Vasquez, 43, of Keyes. She died June 22, 2012 at her home.
Born Nov. 29, 1968, Michelle enjoyed cooking, sewing and visiting with friends and family on Facebook. She loved organizing family gatherings for any occasion including reunions, holidays and family bithdays. She especially enjoyed making tamales with nieces and great nieces at Christmas time. Michelle spent the last several years working as an instructional aide at Keyes Elementary School.
She leaves behind partner Saldivar; her son Lorenzo; her step-mother, Lou Vasquez of Mesa, Ariz.; three brothers, David Vasquez, Edward Vasquez and Steve Vasquez; and her sisters Elaine Emmons and Roseanne Vasquez. She was preceded in death by parents Gilbert and Rosie Vasquez and brother Golbert J. Vasquez.
