Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs for Monica Linda Hale, 55, of Ceres. She died Dec. 23, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the chapel, followed by burial at Ceres Memorial Park.
Born April 12, 1953 in Newark . She graduated in 1971 from Newark High School where she met her future husband, Roy. Mrs. Hale was employed with Northern Telecom until 1991. In 1988 she moved to Ceres with her family. She enjoyed watching sporting events of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed helping out in their classrooms. Mrs. Hale also enjoyed traveling places with her husband.
She leaves behind her husband of 34 years, Roy Hale of Ceres; her children, Adam Hale of Ceres, and Denise Hale and Christina Krepela, both of Modesto; her father, Cruz Moreno of Riverbank; her mother, Jennie Moreno of Newark; her sisters, Debra Emmett, Renee Matlock-Babbit and Jennie Richards, all of Newark, Desiree Dabalos of Ceres, and Patricia Martin of Patterson; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Joshua, Tyler, Michael, Haydin and Madison. She was preceded in death by brother Vincent Moreno.
