Salvador Solorio Pimentel
A funeral service was held Tuesday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Salvador Solorio Pimentel, 78, of Hughson. He died May 17, 2011 of lung cancer.

Born March 10, 1933. in Coalcoman, Michuacan, Mexico to Salvador Solorio Padilla and Trinidad Pimentel Vaca, Salvador immigrated to the United States 50 years ago and settled in Hughson where he started a family with Ana Casarez Mora. They rasied 7 children. Mr. Pimentel was a member of Teamsters 948 and was a forklift operator for 28 years at Try Valley Growers. After retiring, Salvador worked as a landscaper at Saddle Creek Golf Course. He enjoyed gardening, his plants, flowers, and fruit trees.

He leaves behind seven children, Lupe Madrigal, Teresa Regan, Salvador Solorio, Ana Zapien, Leticia Luque, Sandra Solorio, and Miguel Solorio; two siblings, Adolfo Solorio, and Esperanza Casarez; 12 grandchildren, Joel Madrigal, Preston Zapien, Natalie Solorio, Dinella Madrigal, Derick Zapien, Alex Bacaum, Salvador A. Solorio, Breanne Zapien, Adrianna Solorio, Karen Madrigal, Madeline Solorio, and Miguel Solorio; and three great-grandchildren, Angelica Zapien, Genesis Zapien and Jaidyn Madrigal.
