A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lakewood Funeral Home for Thelma Violette Young, 79, of Ceres. She died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
Burial and a reception will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will from 4 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Lakewood Funeral Home.
Born July 15, 1925, Mrs. Young was a native of Garden Grove and lived in Ceres for 60 years. She volunteered with The Salvation Army helping the elderly. Mrs. Young was a member of Mo Stan Wheelers RV Club. She enjoyed bowling, needlework, baking and camping.
She leaves behind her husband, Ezell Young of Ceres; two children, Diana Wilson of Empire and Donna Olinger of Oakdale; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
