A graveside service was held Friday afternoon at Lakewood Memorial Park for Vera Richardson Brown, 73, of Hughson. She died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005 at Hy-Lond Convalescent Hospital in Modesto.
Born Aug. 29, 1931, Mrs. Brown was a native of Oklahoma and lived in Hughson for 53 years. She was a homemaker and hairstylist.
Mrs. Brown leaves behind her son, Thad Brown of Modesto; her sister, Dorothy Hoag of Bakersfield; and five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Brown-Brace.
