A celebration of life is pending for Walter Dudley, 77, of Ceres. He died of natural causes qat his home on March 27, 2005.
The Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements.
Born Sept. 6, 1927, Mr. Dudley was a native of Sacramento and raised in Oakland. He lived in the Ceres area for 52 years. He was a truck owner and operator. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and he belonged to the Modesto Elks Lodge #1282 and the Modesto Goodtimers RV Club. Mr. Dudley enjoyed traveling, dancing and enjoyed a good laugh.
He leaves behind his wife, Elizabeth Dudley of Ceres; four children, Gari Sperry of Ceres, Rob Dudley of Primeville, Ore., Craig Dudley of Lodi and Scott Dudley of Atwater; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
