A funeral service was held July 17 at Keyes Assembly of God for William "Butch" Richard Carpenter, 68, of Keyes. He died July 9, 2012 in Modesto.
Born March 7, 1944 in St. Louis, Mo., Butch was a resident of Stanislaus County for 61 years. He loved cars and enjoyed going to car shows. Mr. Carpenter worked for DC Vient Painting of Modesto.
He leaves behind his wife, Star Carpenter; his son, Aaron Carpenter; his brothers, Mel Carpenter of Post Fall, Idaho, and Ron Carpenter and Mike Carpenter, both of Modesto; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Ernest and Helen Carpenter and daughter Trudy Draper.
