A memorial service was held Tuesday at Grace Community Christian Church in Ceres for William “Bill” Faletti, 80, of Ceres. He died Jan. 9, 2006 in Hayward.

Born Dec. 24, 1925, Mr. Faletti was a native of Oklahoma and left there in 1943. He lived in the Bay Area until moving to Ceres 17 years ago. He worked for Pittsburgh Steel and retired after 33 years. Mr. Faletti enjoyed camping at Woodward Reservoir with his grandchildren.
Mr. Faletti leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Marie Faletti of Ceres; his son, Emmette Faletti of Brentwood; three stepchildren, Denise Knight Bishop of Concord, Merle Knight of Livermore and Steve Knight of Brentwood; four brothers, Richard Faletti of San Leandro, and Robert Faletti and Charles Faletti, both of Antioch; three sisters, Margarite, Effie Carson and Lucy West of Hayward; and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepson Chris and brother Mike Faletti.
Remembrances should be sent to a favorite charity.
