Ceres High, Central Valley suffer losses in volleyball

Ceres High's and Central Valley's varsity volleyball teams both compiled 0-2 records during the opening week of the Western Athletic Conference season.

The Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the Livingston Wolves on Wednesday in Ceres.

Ryleigh Honberger had 12 kills, eight digs, four blocks and one ace.

Jessica Arreola had 12 digs, two aces and one dig.

Yvonne Verduzco had eight digs.

Brooke Anderson had six assists and three digs.

Cameron Diaz had five assists and two digs.

Kaytlin Donaldson had four digs, one block, one kill and one ace.

Fulu Tevaseu had four kills, one block and one dig.

Sara Graham had four kills and one dig.

Sabrina Baisdon had three assists and two aces.

Ceres High opened the WAC campaign with a 3-0 setback at Central Catholic on Monday, Sept. 23.

Arreola had eight digs and three aces.

Honberger had four digs, three kills and one block.
Anderson had four digs and three assists.

Donaldson had four digs and one assist.

Valerie Hamilton had three kills, three digs, one ace and one assist.

Tevaseu had two aces, one kill and one dig.

Verduzco, Edith Peralta and Nichole Parker all had two digs.

Central Valley dropped its WAC opener, 3-0, loss to visiting Los Banos on Sept. 23.

Host Patterson swept the Hawks in straight sets (3-0) on Wednesday.
