The Ceres High boys golf team beat Atwater by 22 strokes, 220-242, at Rancho Del Rey on Thursday.
"Atwater is usually better," said Ceres coach Butch Mendonca. "They're young this year."
Nick Wilcox shot a team-best 1-over 37 for the Bulldogs. Chad Jantz, Jeff Warn and Bobby McFarlane all carded a 43. Ron Fry fired a 54.
Wilcox had one birdie, six pars and two bogeys.
Jantz had three pars, five bogeys and one double bogey.
Warn had one birdie, four pars, one bogey and two double bogeys.
McFarlane had four pars, three bogeys and two double bogeys.
Fry had five bogeys and three triple bogeys.
Dawgs top Warriors
The Bulldogs won their first match of the season on Wednesday at Diablo Grande.
With Warn, Wilcox, McFarlane and Jantz leading the way, Ceres beat Orestimba 211-284.
"It wasn't even close," Mendonca said.
Warn shot a 1-over 37. Wilcox, McFarlane and Jantz fired a 39, 40 and 42, respectively.
Warn had one birdie, six pars and two bogeys.
Wilcox had six pars and three bogeys.
McFarlane had one birdie, four pars, three bogeys and one double bogey.
