The members of Central Valley's varsity swim program traveled to Los Banos last week to compete against Pacheco.

Central Valley's boys team suffered a 109-72 Western Athletic Conference dual-meet season-opening loss while challenging the Panthers on Friday.

Kevin Martinez placed first in the 50 free and 500 free.

Austin Bell placed second in the 100 free.

Jose Robles placed second in the 50 free and fourth in the 100 breast.

Edgar Cervantes placed second in the 100 back and fourth in the 50 free.

Braden Rambo placed third in the 200 IM.

Cesar Armas placed fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 breast.

Isiah Zuniga placed fifth in the 100 back.

The Hawks' 200 medley relay team of Cervantes, Martinez, Rambo and Robles placed third.

Celine Hoehn finished fifth in the 100 breast.

Central Valley's 400 free relay team of Serna, Faamafi, Laiton and Sara Phetsinorath finished second.

Central Valley's 200 free relay team of Hernandez, Robles, Orozco and Serna finished second.

Central Valley's 200 medley relay team of Orozco, Navarro, Serna and Robles finished third.

The Hawks will compete against Livingston on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
