Evans posted a near-perfect 12-1 record versus WAC opponents. She played the majority of her matches at No. 1 singles.
She contributed at doubles as a freshman. “There was added pressure every match because I wanted to prove to my team I was deserving of being the top singles player,” Evans said. “It made me rise to the occasion.”
Moreno, a senior, compiled an 11-3 record.
“Her only losses were at the No. 1 spot,” Moring said.
Vega, a senior, started at No. 3 singles.
Evans, Moreno and Vega propelled Ceres High to a runner-up finish in the WAC standings (11-3).
