Auto theft suspect arrested in west Ceres

A man with a history of auto theft was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 21 after he was caught driving a stolen vehicle while westbound on Service Road. David Valeriano, 21, of Modesto, was also in possession of burglary tools, said Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jose Berber.

At 9:38 a.m. Ceres Police Detective Darren Venn spotted a gray 2001 GMC Yukon which was reported stolen. Venn followed and pulled over Valeriano in the area of Don Pedro and Dino Court.

Valeriano was booked on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of burglary tools and violation of probation for a prior auto theft.
