BICYCLIST WITH WARRANT GIVES POLICE FALSE NAME
After Steven Peterson, 60, of Delhi was stopped by Ceres Police early Wednesday, May 13 he was arrested for giving a fake name – the second time in recent months – and for the felony warrant to stand charges for probation violation.
At 3:03 a.m., Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza stopped Peterson for vehicle code violations in the 4100 block of Mitchell Road.
A records check revealed the felony warrant as well as a misdemeanor warrant for providing police with a false name and resisting arrest.
Peterson was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
MERCED WOMAN ARRESTED FOR DUI
Fabiola Hernandez, 48, of Merced was arrested early Sunday morning after she was pulled over by Ceres Police and found to be driving while intoxicated.
At 2:38 a.m., Officer Kyle Hatcher was in the area of Crows Landing Road near Hatch Road when he stopped Hernandez driving a Honda CRV for vehicle code violations. While speaking with her, the officer detected signs that she was under the influence of alcohol.
After participating in a series of field sobriety tests which she performed in a manner consistent with someone under the influence, Hernandez was arrested for DUI. When she blew into the breathalyzer the reading showed that she was double the legal limit of alcohol to drive by California law.
Hernandez was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
NARCOTICS WARRANTS LAND LOCAL MAN IN JAIL
A 45-year-old Ceres man was arrested Thursday evening for two felony arrest warrants related to the possession of narcotics.
At 9:01 p.m., Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza was patrolling the 3800 block of Collins Road when he spotted Sean Davis seated in a blue-colored Acura TSX parked at Al’s Oasis at 3800 Collins Road. Familiar with Davis and his warrants, Officer Souza made the arrest and took him over the jail for booking.
