When you’re wanted for a burglary, you might want to think twice about running a red light in front of a Ceres Police sergeant. But that’s what Ryan Sopko, 33, of Delhi, did on Wednesday evening, May 26 which led to his arrest.

At 9:41 p.m., Sergeant Darren Venn saw Sopko blow through a red light at Hatch and Herndon roads and made a car stop. A check on his driver’s license revealed the former La Grange man had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for burglary. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
