A 37-year-old Ceres man was charged Wednesday with manufacturing child pornography and committing sexual acts with a child under the age of 10.

The new charge for Daniel Bonacich follows his Aug. 26 arrest and booking into the Stanislaus County Jail for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age and continuous sexual abuse of a child. He is currently being held at Stanislaus County Jail with a bail of $500,000.

Ceres Police officers, along with Child Protective Services went to Bonacich's home in the 3400 block of Georgeann Place for a report of child molestation. Police felt they had enough evidence to substantiate the allegations of child molestation. After his arrest, a search warrant was obtained for all media and recording devices in the home. The search revealed several images that were determined to be child pornography.
