A 39-year-old Ceres woman will be facing DUI charges after police arrested her after passing out behind the wheel of her car early Friday.

Officers were dispatched to Mitchell and Hatch roads at 1:57 a.m. after someone reported the drive asleep behind the wheel in the roadway. They found Kari Lynn Williams 39, of Ceres, who appeared to be asleep behind the wheel of a gold colored Chevrolet Tahoe in the slow lane facing southbound on Mitchell Road near Hatch Road. Officers roused Williams, who then pulled off the road into a nearby parking lot. Officers suspected Williams was intoxicated, a fact proven by a breathalyzer test that showed her over the legal limit.
