Citizen helps arrest Ceres man in Salida

Ceres resident Chad Naillon was arrested in Salida Sunday afternoon after he was reported acting suspiciously looking into a car window.

A citizen flagged down a deputy to report Naillon, who was on probation for vandalism, attempted vehicle theft, vehicle theft, and possession of stolen property. Naillon also had a Ceres Police Department warrant for his arrest for failing to register as a sex offender.

While the deputy attempted arresting Naillon, he resisted. Without hesitation a nearby citizen jumped into action to help the deputy detain Naillon and wait for backup deputies to arrive.

In addition to his warrants, Naillon was arrested for violation of his probation and resisting arrest.
