A 20-year-old Ceres man was arrested for DUI after he rear-ended the back of a Dodge pickup in the 2900 block of Fowler Road early Sunday.

The crash took place at 12:52 a.m.

Officer Nicolas Welsh spoke to Christopher Martinez, 20, of Ceres, who was driving a Honda Accord that ran into the back of the truck, and noticed him displaying signs of someone under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

The DUI investigation included a breath test which showed that Martinez was found to have a higher amount of alcohol in his system than allowed by law.
