Death threats at animal shelter land man in jail

Richard Caldwell, 28, of Modesto, was arrested and booked for allegedly uttering death threats at the Stanislaus Animal Shelter on Wednesday morning, April 5.

Officer Jesus Salinas responded to a 11:03 a.m. disturbance call at the Thomas Mayfield Regional Animal Shelter, 3647 Cornucopia Way. When he Officer Salinas was informed that a man had been causing disturbances with staff and clients and threatening to kill shelter employees. He had left but other officers located Caldwell at a nearby bus stop and detained him.
