Kyle Sweet
Kyle Sweet

The passenger of a car which was stopped by a Ceres Police officer on Sunday evening not only went to jail for drug paraphernalia at the feet but also for lying about his name.

At 11:42 p.m., Officer Jonathan Blount made a stop on a blue Geo Sedan for making an unsafe turning movement. As he spoke to the driver and passenger, Blount noticed drug paraphernalia in the floorboard. The passenger at first gave a false name to Officer Blount but eventually admitted he was really Kyle Sweet, 24, of Modesto.

Sweet was arrested for the drug paraphernalia, giving a false name to a peace officer and a probation violation.

He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
