Flying glass from bullet-shattered window cuts driver
Ceres Cop Car

An 18-year-old driver was cut when the glass in his vehicle exploded when someone fired a bullet at him while driving on Musick Avenue on Monday evening, Sept. 5.

Nassar Abdulwahab, 18, of Modesto, reported that he and two friends were rolling southbound on Musick from Lindstrom at 8:50 p.m. when they got lost and stopped for directions. An unknown car occupied by a Hispanic male and two black men rode up and fired multiple shots at his car, shattering the back window. The flying glass caused multiple cuts on his shoulder and back.

Abdulwahab drove to Les Schwab Tires on Hatch Road where he waited for an officer to show up. Since the shooting occurred in the unincorporated area of Ceres the Sheriff's Department was called to handle the case.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Sheriff's detectives at 525-7074.
