IDENTITY THEFT ARRESTED IN BIKE STOP
Tyler Johnson, 36, of Modesto was peddling his bike in the area of Evans Road near Stonehenge Way for committing a violation of the vehicle code. But because he had a felony arrest warrant for an identity theft charge, Johnson was arrested by Officer Kyle Hatcher.
The arrest came at 8:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, followed by booking at the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
MAN IN CAR JAILED FOR DRUGS, WARRANTS
When Ceres Police Officer Eric Souza made contact with a 39-year-old Modesto man he was familiar with early Saturday, an arrest with multiple charges resulted.
At 3:17 a.m. Officer Souza was patrolling the parking lot of the Chevron gas station on Service Road when he spotted David Luque sitting in a Dodge Durango in the parking lot. Officer Souza learned Luque had a felony warrant for his arrest related to a burglary. Officer Souza arrested Luque and found him in possession of drug paraphernalia containing a white crystalline substance suspected of being methamphetamine. Additionally, Luque was found to be concealing a baggy containing a large, rock-like substance suspected of being fentanyl which weighed in excess of 26 grams.
Luque was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the warrant, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of fentanyl for sales.
HIT-AND-RUN SUSPECT ARRESTED
A 68-year-old Modesto man wanted for a felony hit-and-run charge was arrested during a Wednesday, April 15 traffic stop in Ceres.
Manuel Espinoza was pulled over at 3:42 p.m. in the area of Central and Caswell avenues for vehicle code violations in his Toyota Corolla. Ceres Police Officer Greg Houser ran a records check on Espinoza and found he had a felony warrant for his arrest.
Espinoza was arrested and he booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
