Man arrested in knife fight
Ceres Cop Car

A Sept. 30 knife fight in the 1900 block of Glen Harbor Drive ended with one man being arrested and another man treated for stab wounds to his face, throat, hand and back.

A citizen at Fowler and Mitchell roads flagged down Officer Jeremy Caron at 12:33 p.m. and reported a fight at a nearby residence in which the suspect was armed with a knife. At the same time, police dispatchers received a call regarding the same incident. Officers rushed to the scene and located Sergio Macias, 33, of Modesto, standing in the street holding a knife. The injured victim was sitting down on the sidewalk and bleeding. Macias was handcuffed after Officer Caron ordered him to the ground. Both men were bleeding. Paramedics and Ceres Fire assisted in treating the minor injuries of both men on scene.

Macias was booked into the County jail for attempted murder.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
